Havre's Kyndall Keller earns USA Today honor

The fun is not over just yet for the triumphant Havre High girls basketball team. It's been over a month since the Blue Ponies capped an undefeated season with the 2017-18 Class A state championship.

And to the victor goes the spoils.

On Tuesday, Havre sophomore Kyndall Keller was handed a prestigious honor as she was named to the USA Today All-USA Montana Girls Basketball Team. Keller was honored as a First-Team selection for the 2017-18 season, and she follows in the footsteps of former Havre Blue Pony great Dane Warp, who was named to the team twice during his brilliant prep career.

Keller, who was also recently named to the prestigious Tribune Super-State Team, averaged 18 points and five rebounds per game for the Ponies. She earned Central A and Class A First-Team honors for the second straight season, and last month in Great Falls was named the Class A State Tournament MVP.

Keller is joined on the first team by Montana Player of the Year Jamie Pickens of Helena High, who is coached by former Havre High star Eric Peterson, as well as Billings Senior's Kola Bad Bear, Missoula Sentinel's Kylie Frohlich and Twin Bridges' Kailee Oliverson. Keller is the only underclassmen on the first team as well.

The second team in Montana is made up of Townsend's Tavia Rooney, Missoula Sentinel's Jordan Schweyen, Belt's Dani Urick, Three Forks' Kyle Olson and Helena's Kamden Hilborn.
