Timber Ridge Road in Missouri monument closed

Timber Ridge Road is closed due to emergency until further notice.

“There’s a significant slide in the middle of the road which is making travel impossible,” said Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument Manager Josh Chase.

Slides are a common occurrence in the Upper Missouri River Breaks due to a combination of steep terrain and loose soils.

Timber Ridge Road is located in Blaine County on the north side of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, about 2 miles west of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.
