Havre Police Department

A Spruce Drive resident reported at the police station Thursday at 7:29 a.m. receiving a threat over the phone.

Chad Jerome Wolfchild of Box Elder, 33, was arrested at the detention center after turning himself in on a state District Court warrant Thursday at 9:45 a.m.

A caller at a First Street business reported Thursday at 4:05 p.m. having video footage of a shoplifting incident.

——

A complainant at the police station Thursday at 6:05 p.m. asked to speak to officers about a scam call.

——

An 11th Street West caller reported Thursday at 6:52 p.m. receiving a strange text message.

Kiel Tyson Gray of Rocky Boy, 34, was arrested on charges of careless driving and driving under the influence, undetermined level, during a 9:48 p.m. Thursday vehicle stop on Fourth Street.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A 15-year-old from Harlem and Ivy Leigh Wing of Harlem, 35, were each issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Thursday at 1:44 p.m.

Deputies assisted another agency on Second Street Northwest at 3:56 p.m. Thursday.

——

Earl Thomas Giard of Havre, 55, was issued a summons on two counts of dog running at large after a U.S. Highway 2 Northeast caller reported an animal control problem at 5:53 p.m. Thursday.

A deputy served warrants at the detention center at 8:50 p.m. and 8:57 p.m. Thursday, but no details were provided on the arrests.

Whitney Rae Rosette of Rocky Boy, 27, was issued a summons on charges of driving without insurance, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia during a vehicle stop on Main Street in Box Elder Thursday at 11:28 p.m.

An arrest was made with the assistance of Havre Police during a Thursday at 11:49 p.m. call on River Road. No further details were provided on the arrest.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Thursday, including one in Box Elder.

——

Fire crews responded to a call for standby assistance at 12:59 p.m. Thursday from Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department crews who were putting out a car fire on the 7000 Block of Assinniboine Road. The vehicle was a total loss, but the related grass fire was contained to the immediate area.

——

Fire crews also responded to a 1:39 p.m. Thursday fire with Bear Paw VFD, which was nearby the previous fire. A fire related to a permitted burn on the 4300 Block of U.S. Highway 87 got a little out of control, and the crews were on hand to contain the blaze.

Fire crews responding to a 1:41 p.m. Thursday alarm at a business on the 100 block of First Street West, found an exterior fire suppressing sprinkler system had a leak and they helped shut that portion of the system down until it could be repaired.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held two medium-hair cats whose sex is listed as “unknown,” three medium-hair male cats, two medium-hair female cats and two female short-hair cats.

The shelter held this morning a 4-year-old female German shepherd-Labrador retriever cross, a 4-year-old female border terrier-terrier cross, a 1-year-2-month-old male Labrador retriever-Boston terrier cross and a 1-year-old male pit bull terrier.
