Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Rylee Conlan, Turner Track

Rylee Conlan was part of a revival of basketball this past winter for the Turner girls. Now, she's taking her talents onto the track. Last Monday in Rudyard, Conlan swept the long jump and triple jump at the Jason Groseclose Memorial Track Meet. The jumps, along with a win in the 200 meters and a second-place finish in the 100, helped the Tornadoes to a second-place finish. Of course, Conlan was also a key component of the exciting Turner basketball team this year.

Spencer Richter, CJI Track

It's always fun to run on a dirt track. And Chester-Joplin-Inverness' Spencer Richter had plenty of fun on one last Monday in Rudyard. At the Jason Groseclose Memorial Track Meet last Monday, Richter won three events and helped the Hawks to a second-place finish. Richter finished first in the 100 meters, the 200 meters and the triple jump, and also competed on two relay teams as well. Richter also had an outstanding fall on the football field, and was CJI's leading scorer in basketball this past winter.
