Obituary - Terry James "T.J." Francis

Terry James “T.J.” Francis passed away Jan. 24, 2018, outside of the Wallace F. Bennett Federal Building in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.  

Terry was born Feb. 25, 1964, in Havre, Montana, to James and Barbara Johnson Francis.

He is survived  by aunts and uncles Sharon Johnson Stinson and Milton Johnson, both of Havre, R. Alice Francis Hornbeck of Salt Lake City, Michael J. Francis of Libby, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his one sister, Tammy Jo Francis (1961-2000), and his two brothers, Donald Jerome Francis (1959-2013), and Jess Alan Francis (1965-1977).

Terry James served as an ironworker, a horse trainer and a jockey  He spent most of his life in Montana and Oklahoma. He knew farm and ranch life best but was also seen as very graceful in a pool hall and he liked church.

Arrangements have been made to bury Terry’s ashes at the foot of his brother Jess’ gravesite at The Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston, Montana.
