Obituary - James Myron Black

James Myron Black passed away peacefully May 4, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. He was 81 years of age.

Jim was born July 16, 1936, in Cole, Montana, to Helen and Oscar Black. He went to work at the Great Northern Railroad (BNSF) in 1952. In October of 1956, he married Margaret A. Seaman in Havre, Montana, where they welcomed four children. In 1967, they moved to Kelso, WA where he worked at the Longview Fibre Paper mill as a furnace operator until his retirement at the age of 58. He loved to travel, spend time with his family and go deep-sea fishing.

  He is survived by his five brothers and three sisters, four children, Vernon Black, Cheryl Benson, Russell Black and Brian Black, and four grandchildren.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Longview, Washington.
