Obituary - Jean Louise (Kickbusch) Kato

KALISPELL - Jean Louise (Kickbusch) Kato left this world Feb. 12, 2018, and entered the world of eternity.

She lived a full and complete life and died without regret. Throughout her life, people were most important to her - especially family and friends.

Born and raised in Havre, Montana, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, friend and neighbor to many. She was one of seven children of August and Mildred Kickbusch. Jean graduated from Havre High School in 1951.

Her chosen profession, journalism, was a constant opportunity to serve people and one in which the rewards outweigh the demands. She worked in radio and then in print. She excelled in her profession, as many of her readers, listeners and professionals recall.

Her greatest joy came from simply spending time with the people she loved and cared for most. She fulfilled her lifetime goal of "never completely growing up or growing old."

Survivors include daughter, Signe (Bill); grandchildren, Jojo (Ben) Houle-Henshaw, Tony (Katie) Christian and John (Alexa) Christian; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma, and brother, Willard.

Those who proceed Jean in death are husband, Ted, and son, Paul.

No services are planned. Ashes will be laid to rest in Havre, Montana, July 3, 2018.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Special Olympics of Great Falls, 710 1st Ave. N., Great Falls, MT 59401.
