HHS thinclads finish the season at state in Laurel


The Havre High track teams went to the Class A state meet with high hopes of finishing the season strong. And even though both Blue Pony squads didn’t score a lot of points, they finished on a high note all the same.

The big news to come out of the two-day state meet in Laurel for the Ponies, was Ivar Aageson, who won a state title in the 300 hurdles, to go along with a third-place finish in the 400 and a fifth in the long jump. Aageson scored all 18 points for the Havre boys, which finished 12th. The state title in boys went to Corvallis, which scored 79. Miles City was second with 62 a...
