Turner duo leads Hi-Line tracksters

State champs Eddie Harmon, Cody Welsh, Fort Benton girls headline at State C track meet

Turner's Eddie Harmon wins the Class C boys 800 meters at last Saturday Class C state track meet in Great Falls. Harmon repeated as the 800-meter champion and also grabbed a state title in the 400 meters, helping the Tornadoes to a fourth-place finish.

GREAT FALLS - Eddie Harmon is used to winning. He's also used to throwing up, especially when he runs as hard as as he did en route to winning the Class C state championship in the 800-meter run Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls.

Following an incredible 400-meter stretch that saw him overtake three competitors, Harmon of Turner won the 800, with a time of 1:57, shaving nearly five seconds off his previous best in the event. After his win, Harmon knelt over and threw up.
