Skylights land junior college shooting guard

Sam Caruth, a shooting guard from Lamar Community College, is transferring to play for the Montana State University-Northern Skylights starting next fall.

The 2018 recruiting class for the Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball team continues to grow. On Monday, Northern head coach Chris Mouat announced the signing of Sam Caruth, a 5-9 guard from Lamar Community College.

"Sam is a very good three-point shooter,” Mouat said. “She has great range and a quick shot. At the high school and junior college level she is a proven threat from the three. On her visit, we were also able to see her do some good things at the rim and from mid-range. She can definitely help us with her ability to stretch defenses."
