Havre Police Department

A 12-year-old was issued a summons on an assault charge after an officer initiated investigation of a disturbance in the Havre Middle School Gym Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.

A Wilson Avenue caller reported damage to a vehicle topper Wednesday at 11:49 a.m.

——

Hunter Ray Selman of Fort Worth, Texas, 23, was arrested on charges of shoplifting, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a caller at a First Street business reported a shoplifter Wednesday at 1:53 p.m.

Officers were asked at the police station Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. to assist a citizen.

——

Wednesday at 2:37 p.m. a Third Street caller reported that a woman had taken all his money.

——

A Fourth Avenue call reported Wednesday at 5 p.m. that a person was lying in the street.

——

A caller on Fourth Street reported Wednesday at 5:47 p.m. that the right rear window of her vehicle was broken.

——

Tyrel Henry Bear of Havre, 32, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. today on First Street on charges of operating a vehicle with fictitious plates and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license.

Two summonses were issued today during a 1:44 a.m. investigation of suspicious activity at Montana State University-Northern. No further details were provided.

A First Street Northeast caller reported at 5:23 this morning finding an abandoned bike.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A written or verbal warning was issued Wednesday at 2:02 p.m. after transients were reported camped out under the Milk River Bridge.

Hunter Ray Selman of Fort Worth, Texas, 23, was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 7:53 p.m.

Bethany B. McFadden of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, 25, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after a U.S. Highway 2 West caller reported the incident Wednesday at 10:39 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday and one today.

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the 400 Block of Fifth Street at 8:26 p.m. They were able to peal the hood back and extinguish the flames, but the car is likely a total loss. No cause of the fire could be determined.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held three medium-hair cats with sex listed as “unknown,” three medium-hair male cats, one male long-hair cat and one female short-hair cat.

The shelter also held this morning a 24-week-old male American Staffordshire Terrier, a 4-year-1-month-old female German shepherd-Labrador retriever cross, a 4-year-1-month-old female border terrier-terrier cross, a 1-year-3-month-old male Labrador retriever-Boston terrier cros and a 19-week-old male Australian shepherd.
