HMS lists May students of month

Havre Middle School's Sixth-Grade Student of the Month for May is Shea Reber.

Shea is the daughter of Brent and Jill Reber. She has one sister, Madison Reber.

Shea is involved in theater and was recently in the play Annie. She loves to play basketball, softball and enjoys spending time with her family and dog.

At school, Shea is upbeat and a joy to be around. Her teachers commend her on how instinctively she knows what needs to be done. She is a kind, helpful and very studious student. Shea is always "on the ball" and is a great role model for all students at HMS.

In the future Shea plans to attend a top university and become a biomedical scientist.

May's Seventh-Grade Student of the Month is Emerald Tinsley.

Emerald's parents are Pete and Sarah Christenson. She has one brother, Tryg Christenson.

Emerald participates in basketball and track at HMS. She is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and riding her horse. She also likes to hang out with family and friends.

At the middle school, Emerald has a positive attitude that contributes to her academic success. HMS teachers praise her for her strong work ethic which leads to outstanding work. Emerald is a team player who goes above and beyond to help her peers. Her actions truly represent the Middle School Mustang Spirit.

Emerald strives to receive a college degree and have a career later on in life.

Carter Leeds is HMS' Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for May.

Carter is the son of Frank and Carina Leeds and Celina Cline. He has two sisters, Emily and Trinity Leeds and three step siblings.

Carter plays for the Havre Middle School basketball team. He also sings for the middle school Spotlighters. In his free time Carter enjoys being involved with many other sports and likes to play video games.

At HMS, Carter's teachers comment on how cheerful he is to be around in the classroom. Carter has a great sense of humor and positive attitude. He also is very supportive to his fellow classmates when they are in need of assistance. His compassion makes the middle school a great place for everyone.

Carter's future goals are to attend college and become a lawyer or doctor.
