Hill Couny Electric and Triangle Communications teamed up to visit Rocky Boy and Box Elder Schools May 29 for electricity and internet safety demonstrations, reaching almost 275 students.
In a press release, the businesses said they "are committed to the communities and members that we serve. A very important cooperative principle is education, especially for young people."
HCE linemen and line technicians used a demonstration trailer to simulate real-life situations like the danger of tree branches in power lines and coming in contact with power lines. Triangle employees shared a video presentation and discussion with students about how to be safe on the internet and while using social media.
