Schizoid Johnny Zortman concert rescheduled

A free performance by Hays-Lodge Pole High School band director John Steinhardt as his alter ego Schizoid Johnny in Zortman was canceled last Friday and is now rescheduled for Saturday.

The original concert, which was canceled because of the rain, will now be held at Zortman Amphitheater at 7 p.m and the fire department will be giving away ice cream, sundaes and root beer floats, Steinhardt said.

The concert is open to everyone, and is for all-ages, he added.

Steinhardt, a Zortman resident, received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin and has been working at Hays-Lodge Pole High School since 2017.

As Schizoid Johnny, he is a one-man band who plays all his own instruments including five guitars, keyboard, full-drum set and percussion.
