Obituary - Nona Marie Hove

Nona Marie Hove of Sun Lakes, AZ, age 77, went to be with the Lord July 14, 2018, after a long struggle with COPD.

Nona was born August 3rd, 1940, to Rolland and Mary (Harrison) Beaudry. She was raised in Valier, Montana on the family ranch. She loved being outside and being adventurous. She liked riding horses and was active in 4-H.  She went to Lone Tree Country School and graduated from Valier High School, then went on to Gonzaga University.  Her first marriage was to Dean Walston and they had three children.  While raising her family, she worked and went to college. She completed her degrees in mathematics and music.  Nona moved to Arizona to attend DeVry University after receiving a fellowship. There she met her second husband, Glen Hove, whom she was with until 2016. She was employed at Intel where she was a microchip engineer, and remained there until her retirement.

Nona had been an active member of Computer Booters Club in Sun Lakes. She enjoyed making beautiful stained glass pieces and then giving them away with love. She was a strong and determined lady who touched the lives of many with her compassion, humor, and generous spirit.  She was an accomplished pianist, liked classical music, but most of all was a loving and sincere mother.

Nona will be dearly missed by daughters, Cindy Walston Carlson and Cheryl Walston, and son, Kevin Walston. She had two sisters, Rita Beaudry and Ina Thomsen, as well as a brother, Ben Beaudry. She had multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they will miss her as well.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Montana with family.

Special thanks to Sage Hospice and Hospice of the Valley for making her COPD illness comfortable as possible. Donations or memorials can be made with either one as well as Shriners Hospital or Computer Booters Club.
