Correction - University story

An article in Tuesday’s Havre Daily News misreported that Montana State University-Northern has a campus in Great Falls and is consolidating a position between its Havre campus and Great Falls campus.

Northern offers coursework and degrees on the campus of Great Falls College MSU and that college’s chief financial officer is stepping down. There is no second MSU-Northern chief financial officer in Great Falls. Consolidating the chief financial officer and chief academic officer has been discussed but only the financial officer will be consolidated. The article also misreported that the “university had a total $10 million shortfall” when it should have reported that the Montana University System had a $10 million shortfall and, as reported Nothern hd a $1.2 million shortfall.
