News you can use

Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

Full of God

You know, Lord, it was quite interesting to discover that the word “enthusiasm” is actually derived from two little Greek words, “en” and “theos,” with “theos” being the Greek word for God. Becoming aware of that, we realized that “enthusiasm” literally means “full of God.” Having discovered that, we can rest assured that God will help each one of us to maintain enthusiasm, with eagerness, zest and zeal.

There are some days when we lack that skill, but all we need to do is ask God to help us, and He will help us to overcome all difficulties, all tragedies, all sorrows and all heartaches; in His time, God will give us victory.

Several grief support groups meet here in our town, and having just come from one, it was amazing a short time ago to read about being full of God. Traveling on the Grief Road is different for each one of us, but somehow the subject came up at our gathering and we discussed how we need to turn to God, allow Him to help us in all ways. One gal mentioned that by doing that, God will always give us victory — maybe not in the “time-element” we would like it to happen and maybe not in the way we think the answer to our problem should be, but God loves us, He cares for us and He will answer us, in His time and in His perfect way.

You know, Lord, we all have some negativity; we tend to walk our journey here on earth in that manner. Lord, help us to let go of that and help us to walk our journey in ease and peace, enthusiastically — and have a life full of You.

Knowing You care, we read Isaiah 9:7, “The zeal of the Lord almighty will accomplish this. … He will do it!”

Love, Mara
