Bulldogs turn out the Lights in Dillon

There’s just no getting around how young the Montana State University-Northern Lights are, and for the second straight week, the youth and inexperience showed — and this time, it meant a tough night on the road.

In Northern’s first Frontier Conference road game of 2018, the Lights were throttled by the UM-Western Bulldogs 55-3 Saturday night in Dillon. The loss dropped MSU-N to 0-2 in the Frontier and 1-2 overall.

And like in last week’s loss to Rocky Mountain College in Havre, turnovers and timely miscues set the Lights back, according to head coach Andrew Rolin.
