Havre Police Department

A caller at 13th Avenue and Fifth Street reported a skunk in the area Thursday at 2:30 p.m., and the call was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

An abandoned bike was reported on Lincoln Avenue at 3:29 p.m. Thursday.

--

James Christopher Dahl Jr. of Havre, 31, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and a charge of probation violation, during a vehicle stop on First Street West at 3:55 p.m. Thursday.

Officers made an arrest during alcohol compliance checks Thursday at 3:58 p.m. in a First Street West establishment, but no further details were provided on the charges.

A two-vehicle crash in which airbags did deploy was reported Thursday at 4:11 p.m. at Fifth Avenue and First Street.

A vehicle crash was reported by a Fifth Avenue caller Thursday at 5:39 p.m.

At 6:20 p.m. Thursday a caller on 14th Street West reported a neighbor hit his 2008 Dodge Caliber.

James Oliver Kirby of Havre, 20, was arrested on charges of riving under the influence, under 21, minor in possession and tail light violation, and Walter William White of Havre, 19, and Stephen James David of Havre, 18, were each issued a summons on a charge of MIP during a vehicle stop on Sixth Avenue Thursday at 10:38 p.m.

Joshua Kay Blatter of Havre, 28, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after an officer investigated suspicious activity on First Street this morning at 2:28.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Steven Sidney Engelhardt of Havre, 69, was issued a summons on charges of driving without vehicle insurance and careless driving, during a vehicle stop at Clear Creek Road and county Road 451 East Thursday at 7:52 a.m.

Salix Robin Scoresby of Olympia, Washington, was arrested on a charge of trespass to property after a caller reported a trespasser north of a First Street business Thursday at 11:45 a.m.

A caller in the Havre area reported unauthorized use of grain trailers Thursday at 4:48 p.m.

--

An arrest was made after a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a shoplifter Thursday at 8:01 p.m. No details on the charges were provided.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to six calls Thursday and two calls this morning.

--

Firefighters responded Thursday at 8:01 p.m. to a report of a recreational vehicle fire on the 1700 Block of 38th Avenue North East. Crews responded and extinguished the fire, no one was injured but the RV was totaled.

Firefighters responded today at 4:46 a.m. to a report of a gasoline smell, but no odor was detected.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held six medium-hair kittens and one short-hair cat with gender listed as unknown, one long-hair female cat and one medium-hair female cat.

The shelter also held this morning a 1-year-7-month-old male German shepherd, a 2-year-2-month-old female pit bull terrier-German shepherd cross, a 2-year-1-month-old male Pekingese-dachshund cross, a 8-month-old female terrier, one male and one female 21-week-old mix-breed puppies, a 7-month-old female mixed breed and a 1-year-10-month-old female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-German shepherd cross. The shelter also listed one male and one female 14-week-old Rottweiler-shepherd cross puppies.
