Grief Poem - Endure All Things

The seasons change and so do we as we walk this grief route.

We shuffle on but this we know, we’re loved without a doubt.

Some special things take place each day, right now we’re lonely, dear.

A “‘versarie’s”  near — this time of year, twill surely bring a tear.

We’re born to die; we’ll go back “home” as soon as You, Lord, call!

We’ve work to do but when time’s up, we’ll skip o’er earthly wall.

Death dates sneak up, you get a shock, knocks wind right out of you.

A picture near brings on a tear, our heart does ache, that’s true.

Enduring (1) love, our hearts crave that, helps weather any “storm.”

Unfailing love from You, dear Lord, will never be lukewarm.

Love of parents, siblings, spouse, child; challenges are met through prayer.

Through grief or trials, You wait our call, we know Lord, that You care.

Some folks have said that once you’ve loved, that “love” will never part.

Love tends to stay, holds memoires tight, and never leaves your heart.

We carry on the whole day long, for “seasons” do pass by.

One day we, too, will be called home, and soar beyond the “sky.”

Sept.18 – Prairie Winds

(1) 1 Cor 13:7 “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
