Kmart Pharmacy customers transferred to Gary & Leo's Health Mart

One week after the retail store closed, and one day after the Kmart Pharmacy closes, Health Mart Pharmacy at Gary & Leo’s Fresh Foods will pick up the pharmacy accounts from Kmart.

In a press release, Gary & Leo’s said all Kmart Pharmacy customers will have their records transferred to Gary & Leo’s Health Mart Tuesday.

When Kmart first opened in Havre in the 1970s on the 2100 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East, it did not have a pharmacy. It moved to its location at 3180 U.S. Highway 2 West in 1992 as a Big Kmart with a full pharmacy.

The corporation announced last summer the store was closing, and the last day for the retail store was Sept. 30, but the pharmacy stayed open one week longer.

Today is the last day the Kmart Pharmacy is open, and it closes today for the last time at 4 p.m..

After today, people can go to Gary & Leo’s Health Mart for their prescription.

Customers do not have to do anything until they are ready to fill their prescriptions, and new prescriptions can be sent directly to Gary & Leo’s Health Mart, the release said.

Records for customers of Kmart can be transferred from Health Mart to any pharmacy of their choice at any time they desire.

Calls to the Kmart Pharmacy phone numbers will be forwarded to Gary & Leo’s Health Mart.

Gary & Leo’s Health Mart will be staffed and stocked to meet all the pharmaceutical needs of the current Kmart customers, the release said.

Customers can stop in at Gary & Leo’s Health Mart, which is open seven days a week, or call 265-1229 for any questions and concerns.

Gary & Leo’s Health Mart is offering free Dispill bubble packing as well as free mail and local delivery service, the release said.
