Obituary - Robert B. "Bobby" Hansen

Robert B. "Bobby" Hansen died in his sleep on September 30 at his home in Mattawa, Washington.

Born in Havre August 12, 1935, to Maxine (Duncan) and Robert A. Hansen, he attended Havre schools until age 17, when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Navy, he married Sonya Sorenson from remlin.  They had three children together before eventually divorcing. Bobby spent most of his adult years living in the Seattle area where he worked as a firefighter, master carpenter and, eventually, in heavy construction.

When he retired, he moved to Mattawa to get away from the craziness of the city.  He loved his home there and "farmed" the rocks and goatheads that dominated his place. Ever a patriot, he proudly flew "Old Glory," lighting her at night for all to see.

Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Russel.

He is survived by his eldest son, Paul and daughter, Cindi.

Cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time.
