Hi-Line Football: Pioneers blast Bearcats, Hawks cruise

This past weekend, a number of local high school football teams played important games with playoff implications and one of those games just happened to take place in Chester Friday night.

Needing a win to have a chance to play their way into the playoffs, the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks hosted Box Elder, which was back on the field after forfeiting the previous two weeks. Yet, with their playoff hopes on the line, the Hawks took care of business against the Bears, scoring 24 points in the first quarter on their way to a 50-8 victory.
