'Families and legacies: Challenging decisions' presentation set for Oct. 29

Montana State University-Extension Hill County, Independence Bank, Hill County Community Foundation, and Montana Community Foundation have joined forces to bring an informative, interesting and fun estate planning event to the Hi-Line.

Monday, Oct. 29, Marsha A. Goetting, Ph.D., will be presenting and answering questions on why you need estate planning regardless of age, marital status or financial situation. The event will be held at the 4-H Chuckwagon located in the Great Northern Fairgrounds at 1676 U.S. Highway 2 West, starting at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Goetting is a professor and extension family economics specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman. She has presented more than 800 workshops reaching more than 25,000 Montanans with financial and estate planning information. She has also authored more than 75 MontGuides and bulletins and has received national, regional, and state awards for her financial management and estate planning programs.

What are MontGuides? MontGuides are informational brochures that people can use when needing more education on specific topics.
