MSU-N's Jensen earns Frontier All-Conference in golf

The Frontier Conference fall sports season is winding down, and the golf season came to a close last week. The Frontier Conference then released its 2018 All-Conference Golf honors, and for the second straight year, Montana State University-Northern's Jenna Jensen made the list.

Jensen had three Top 20 finishes in the Frontier this fall, and she was named Second-Team All-Conference. Jensen is a senior from Kalispell, who transferred to Northern two years ago. Jensen will finish her Northern golf career at the Frontier Conference Championships in April in Phoenix, Arizona.

Meanwhile, the Northern men's and women's cross country teams were slated to run in their last regular season meet last Friday. But on their way to the UM-Western Open in Dillon, Northern had transportation issues, so the Lights and Skylights were unable to compete.

So far this season, Northern has run in the Carroll College Early Bird invitational, the MSU Running Company Invitational, the Battle of the Border, the University of Montana Invitational and the Lewis-Clark State Invitational.

Now, the Lights and Skylights will get ready for the biggest meet of the season, the 2018 Frontier Conference Championships. That meet will be held Nov. 2 at Eagles Falls Golf Course in Great Falls, where team and individual spots to nationals will be on the line. The 2018 NAIA National Championships are slated for Nov. 17 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
