Skylights sweep Cascade rivals in Washington

Thanks to three straight road games to open the 2018-19 season, the Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball team was going to be put to the test.

And after a trip to Kirkland, Washington, for the Adidas Northwest Classic, the Skylights are 3-0 on their initial exams.

MSU-N swept Cascade Conference stalwarts Northwest University and Northwest Christian over the weekend, improving the Skylights to 3-0 on the season. And both wins this weekend impressed head coach Chris Mouat.

“I’m just really proud of this team for showing a ton of grit,” Mouat said Saturday night.
