Havre High taking precautions after threat discovered in bathroom

An increased presence of police will be at Havre High School Thursday -- in addition to the Havre police officer already stationed there as a resource officer -- after a threat was discovered in a boys’ bathroom at the school this afternoon.

The increase in police is in response to a cryptic message that was written on the wall in the second floor boy’s bathroom Wednesday at 2:32 p.m., a post on the Havre Public Schools website said.

According to the website, the message was not specific in nature, but law enforcement has been notified and are assisting with the investigation.

The increase in police presence is strictly a precautionary measure, the website states.

More information will be shared as it becomes available, district administrators told the Havre Daily News.
