Havre Optometric Clinic staff members earn national certification

Press release

Three staff members of Havre Optometric Clinic, Brandi Morgan, Amanda Vandegenchte, and Ericka Richardson, have earned national certification as paraoptometrics.

The three passed the Commission on Paraoptometric Certification professional examination.

This program was developed by a respected panel of American Optometric Association paras and optometrists, created to encourage continuing education and knowledge as the field of optometric assisting grows.

The AOA offers four levels of certification for optometric staff. Each program requires successful completion of an exam prepared and administered by the CPC. The purpose of the exam is to assure a level of knowledge to perform the functions necessary to each certified designation. Recipients must continue their education and renew their certification every three years to remain current in their filed.

Morgan, Vandegenchte, and Richardson's designation as Certified Paraoptometrics can be recognized as a measure of professional ability and distinction. They join two other staff members at Havre Optometric Clinic for a total of five certified paraoptometrics.
