Parker Filius up to his winning ways at Purdue

Former Havre High four-time Class A state champion Parker Filius is off to a stellar start in his first year of NCAA Division I varsity wrestling. Filius is the starting 149-pounder for the Big 10 Purdue Boilermakers, and this past weekend in Troy, New York, Filius went undefeated, winning two dual matches by pin, as well as the 149-pound championship in the Journeyman Collegiate Classic.

Former Havre High four-time state champion Parker Filius is getting his first year as a varsity starter for the Purdue Boilermakers off to a great start.

On Sunday, Filius captured the 149-pound championship at the Journeyman Collegiate Classic in New York.

The title was part of a big weekend for Filius who also went 2-0 in duals for the Boilermakers.

On Saturday, Purdue clobbered Bloomsburg College and Drexel in duals, with Filius going 2-0 at 149. He won both his matches by fall.

Filius also finished sixth at the prestigious Princeton Open earlier this month, and now he has a record...
