Press release

BOZEMAN — The Montana FFA Foundation is once again partnering with John Deere dealers across the state to host almost 1,600 high school and middle school FFA members November 15-17 at Montana State University for the 7th Annual John Deere Ag Expo.

Over the course of the this three-day event, students will take part in leadership development workshops, compete in Career Development Events, and take in all that MSU has to offer through various campus tours. The Montana FFA Foundation is excited to announce that this year’s keynote speaker is Jerrod Murr of Paradigm Shift Leadership in Oklahoma. Murr will engage students through hands-on discussions focused on influence, strategic decision making and servant leadership.

Bill Jimmerson, past state FFA advisor and the interim executive director expressed the importance of the support from John Deere as well as the FFA’s relationship with Montana State University.

“The John Deere Ag Expo is an enriching experience for Montana students to learn about the diversity of career opportunities in agriculture and for them to develop the skills necessary to become the next generation of leaders in our state,” Jimmerson said.

More than 400 judges and volunteers are needed to put on the 20 Career Development Events that will take place including public speaking, sales, agriscience fair, mechanics, one of the largest livestock evaluation contests in the Northwest and numerous other contests.
