After reports of shots fired in town, Havre resident Kolten Harp, 21, was arrested and is being held on charges of criminal endangerment, aggravated driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license early this morning.

Havre Police officers responded to multiple 911 calls about shots fired shortly after 2 a.m., said Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich. A 2:10 a.m. report, listed in the dispatch log, from a caller at a First Street establishment says a gun shot was heard after a fight.

Matosich said shots were reported as being fired by Harp from inside his car. No one was injured, he added, and officers located the vehicle and Harp on the 400 Block of Fourth Avenue, where Harp was arrested.

Harp is being held at Hill County Detention Center without bond this morning. The case, Matosich said, has been forwarded to the Hill County Attorney’s Office for formal charges to be filed.
