From the Courts: District Court - Woman placed on probation for distributing drugs in jail

A woman was sentenced to 18 months on probation after pleading guilty to distributing drugs to prisoners in the Hill County jail.

Judge Jon Oldenburg imposed 18-month deferred impositions of sentence, to run at the same time, on Alysha Dawn Rodriguez Dec. 4 on each of felony counts of transfer of illegal material and use or possession of property subject to forfeiture.

A felony count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
