At long last, the ban on gatherings in Havre due to the Spanish flu epidemic had been lifted. The Havre Plaindealer’s Dec. 14, 1918 edition carried the news but cautioned the public to exercise “good sense and moderation” in their activities to prevent a recurrence of the deadly disease.
