From the Courts: State District Court - Man ordered to forfeit property, given probation on drug charges

A man who led police on a high-speed chase in Havre in November 2017 was given probation in two separate cases and ordered property including two pistols and $1,695 cash.

Tyrell Nault pleaded guilty in plea agreements Oct. 23 to felony charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and possession of property subject to forfeiture.

District Judge Jon Oldenburg of Lewistown imposed a three-year deferred imposition of sentence on Nault Dec. 10 on one case and sentenced him to three years, all suspended, in the second.

Oldenburg also ordered Nault to forfeit property including the $1,695 cash found in his first arrest and two pistols found in his possession in the second.

Nault led police on a high-speed chase Nov. 22, 2017, then on a foot chase into a residence in Smithville. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia as well as harboring a fugitive.

He was arrested again Dec. 6, 2017, when he was found asleep or passed out in a running vehicle in a business parking lot with two pistols and more illegal drugs in his possession.
