Fake bills being passed in area

Havre Police Department issued a release warning people that people have been trying to pay for purchases in this area with fake $100 bills.

A release from the department said officers have collected the fake money and are investigating.

The release warned local businesses to be aware the fake bills are being passed and should use counterfeit banknote detection pens on all $100 bills.
