Havre High's Martin Wilkie takes down CMR's Kai Stewart during the 145-pound final of the Havre Invite last month in the HHS gymnasium. The pair met again at last weekend's Montana All-State Dual in Great Falls. Wilkie was one of four Blue Ponies to earn wins in the dual. Havre returns to regular season action Friday and Saturday at the Cut Bank Invitational.
The Havre High wrestling team is about to get back to work after the Christmas break. But four Blue Ponies got in a little mat time during the holidays.
Havre's Mick Chagnon, Lane Paulson, Martin Wilkie and Connor Harris all participated in the Montana All-Star Dual, which was held last Saturday in the McLaughlin Center in Great Falls.
Competing for the East Team, the Blue Ponies were perfect against the West. Chagnon beat Butte's Keegan Gransbury 10-5, Paulson took down CMR's Carter Carroll, 8-2, Wilkie beat arch rival Kai Stewart of CMR, 12-3 and Harris won 8-4 over GFH's Caden Hilliard...
