Grief Poem - To Be Noble

The New Year’s here but we’re alone — we’ve lost someone so dear,

Our spouse or kin or our parents — our life now seems so dear.

Remembering that special one brings memories to our heart,

this “missing time,” recent or old; they’re gone!  Then tear drops start.

We may have planned some wondrous things, which vanished in “thin-air.”

But noble plans and noble deeds are best hemmed-in  in prayer.

We plan our ways, but we need help; our dear one has gone on!

Revisit plans but look ahead; we’ll ‘meet them’ in the dawn.

Oh, Lord, guide us, empower us that we will h...
