Montana Association of Clerk and Recorders offer scholarships

Press release

The Montana Association of Clerk and Recorders is again sponsoring two scholarships for graduating seniors who will be attending an in-state college or university.

The first-place scholarship is for $1,000 and second-place scholarship is for $500. The last day of acceptance of applications is March 15.

Application forms are available from the guidance counselor at schools or from the Hill County Clerk and Recorder’s offices.

People with questions can call 265-5481 ext. 2323.

Local application forms must be received by Hill County Clerk and Recorder Susan Armstrong no later than Friday, March 15, and will be judged on the basis of need, scholarship and school and civic involvement.

Final judging will be completed by May 1 to select the statewide winner and alternate. A certificate will be issued to the winner of the scholarship on awards day at the student’s school. The payment will be made directly to the college or university of choice after the student’s acceptance.
