Girl Scout cookie season kicks off

BILLINGS — Feb. 1, Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming will kick off its 2019 Cookie Program.

Girl Scouts across Montana and Wyoming will begin taking pre-orders on Friday, Feb. 1 for eight varieties including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles, Girl Scout S’mores™ and the gluten free variety, Toffee-tastics.

This staple of Americana is available several ways over the coming weeks and months:

• Girl Scouts will take pre-orders Feb. 1 - Feb. 17, with delivery in mid-March

• Cookies can be ordered online via Digital Cookie from a Girl Scout through April 14

• Cookies can be purchased during Booth Sales March 22 – April 14; during that time you can use the booth-locator at http://girlscoutcookies.org/.

Fans of Savannah Smiles will want to stock up on the lemon-flavored cookie as 2019 will be the last season for that variety. On the bright side, that means there’s likely a new cookie variety coming in 2020.

Once again, Girl Scout Cookies in Montana and Wyoming will sell for $4 per box with the exception of our specialty cookies, the S’mores and gluten-free Toffee-tastics, which sell for $5 per box.

During the Cookie season, all ages of Girl Scouts set out to sell cookies while also building entrepreneurial and business skills that are imperative for leadership and future success including: goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics and people skills.

All of the net revenue raised — 100 percent of it — stays within the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming council.
