MAT weekend shows canceled

Montana Actors’ Theatre has announced that the Friday and Saturday performances of “The Glass Menagerie” will not be held.

“We apologize greatly to those who will miss ‘The Glass Menagerie,’ and sincerely hope our community realizes that only the most serious of conditions would compel us to make this decision,” MAT Director Jay Pyette said in the release.

This cancellation, which was made prior to and included Thursday’s showing, is the first time in the acting troupe’s 25-year history, MAT had to cancel scheduled performances, Pyette said.

“This decision was not made lightly,” he added, “but at this time it is the only responsible one to be made.”
