Havre Police Department

Officers at 11:29 p.m. Friday assisted the Hill County Sheriff's deputies with a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 2 West.

Tori Jean Snell of Havre, 19, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of minor in possession, during a vehicle stop at 22nd Avenue West and County Road 650 West Saturday at 3:39 p.m.

Wendell Harlan Haakanson of Hays, 37, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a driver's license and expired vehicle registration, during a vehicle stop on 13th Avenue Satueday at 6:29 a.m.

Chance Edward Williams of Havre, 28, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI after a caller at a First Street business reported suspicious activity at 9:04 a.m. Saturday.

--

A caller on Ninth Street reported damage to a vehicle parked on the side of the road Saturday at 9:15 a.m.

--

A vehicle crash involving a pickup and a Jeep was reported Saturday at 9:23 a.m. on First Street West.

--

Saturday at 9:42 a.m. a Sixth Street caller reported a vehicle had been egged.

--

A Second Street caller reported Saturday at 10:05 a.m. that a window to a residence had been broken.

--

Two arrests were made when officers served warrants on Fifth Avenue Saturday at 10:59 a.m. No details on the charges was provided.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported at 11:06 a.m. Saturday a woman had stolen jewelry from the store.

A caller asked Saturday at 2:56 p.m. for assistance with an email.

A 16-year-old was issued a summons on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children, after a caller on 10th Street West reported a marijuana smell coming from a building Saturday at 3:47 p.m.

A Juniper Drive caller reported finding a chainsaw Saturday at 4:03 p.m.

A caller on 11th Street reported Saturday at 4:34 p.m. getting a call from an unknown caller who was yelling profanities.

Betty Bailey Ranes of Havre, 58, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI after a caller at a First Street business reported a woman was acting suspiciously Saturday at 6:56 p.m.

Officers assisted county deputies on the south end of Havre Saturday at 11;59 p.m.

Sarah Katherine Morgan of Havre, 19, was issued a summons on an MIP charge and Jett Robert Robertson was issued a summons on a social host charge after a call at a Montana State University-Northern residence hall Sunday at 12:47 a.m. reported possible underage drinkers.

A Child Abuse Hotline caller reported a child was buying dangerous drugs Sunday at 8:05 a.m.

--

A caller asked Sunday at 12:06 p.m. for sand to be put down at a stop sign on 11th Street West.

--

Sunday at 12:32 p.m. a caller at a First Street business reported someone stole alcohol.

--

A First Street caller reported a possibly drunk man walking in winter conditions Sunday at 1:57 p.m.

An arrest was made after a caller at the S-curve on 11th Street reported a hit and run between a pickup truck and a car Sunday at 2:42 p.m. No details about the charges were provided.

Sunday at 5:51 p.m. a caller at a First Street business reported a vehicle hit a sign on the business' property.

Someone stopped at the police station reported a suspicious text message Sunday at 10:11 p.m.

Chase Aaron Merchant of Havre, 26, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a state District Court warrant on Ninth Avenue Sunday at 10:14 p.m.

Officers invesitgate a domestic disturbance at 4:04 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a Friday 8:10 a.m. report from the Child Abuse Hotline of possible child abuse in the county.

Marcia Ann Morsette of Rocky Boy, 58, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant Friday at 12:25 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

--

Two callers, one 9:08 p.m. and one at 10:48 p.m., Friday asked deputies to be on alert for stolen vehicles, a truck and a Nissan Altima.

McKayla Gayle White of Box Eder, 27, was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, expired registration and driving without a driver's license during a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 2 West Friday at 11:28 p.m.

A caller reported Saturday at 8:10 a.m. her vehicle had died at Kiehns Bay on Fresno Reservoir and asked for assistance getting a ride to town.

--

A caller reported a single vehicle driving into the ditch Saturday at 8:54 a.m. and the call was referred to another agency.

--

A Gilford caller reported a truck was stalled on the railroad track Sunday at 5:27 p.m.

--

Saturday at 5:30 p.m. a 911 call about a stolen van in Box Elder was transferred to Rocky Boy Police Department.

Joshua Robert Monroe Guyton of Havre, 22, was arrested on a charge od obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and Jacquline Colleen Chiefstick of Havre, 39, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, after a caller reported Sunday at 3:06 a.m. a possible domestic disturbance in progress on U.S. Highway 87.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Friday, two calls Saturday and two calls Sunday.

Firefighters working a training drill Friday at 12:09 p.m. smelled a gas leak on the 1200 Block of Fourth Street North. Gas was detected and NorthWestern Energy was called to the scene and their crew found and repaired a leaking valve.

--

Firefighters were called Friday at 7:26 p.m. to the 2400 Block of Fifth Avenue to assist NWE finding a reported gas leak. No gas smell was detected by either crew.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held one medium-hair cat, one short-hair cat, one long-hair 9-month-old kitten and two long-hair 6-month-old kittens all of unknown gender, two medium-hair female cats and four medium-hair male cats, as well as two cats for its trap-spay/neuter-release program.

The Havre shelter also held this morning a male miniature pinscher dog, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male shepherd dog, a male border collie dog, a female Anatolian shepherd-husky 10-month-old puppy, a female pug-Chihuahua dog and a male mixed-breed 21-week-old puppy. Another three female mixed-breed 13-week-old puppies were being fostered.

Births

A boy was born Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, to Sophia Guzman and Kenneth Senigal of Havre.
