Obituary - Sharon "Shari" Joann Armitage

Sharon "Shari" Joann Armitage of Laurel, 80, joined the Lord on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Born September 12, 1938, to Harry and Myrtle (Hagen) Brown, she graduated from Havre High School, and went on to get her cosmetology license.

She married Doug and they shared 55 years  of love, raising four children together.

She was actively involved within the church community, including Dorcas, Christian Women's Club and the church choir.

Shari was an avid crafter and it brought joy to her to create original pieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard (Dick) Brown, niece Debbie Brown, and beloved husband, Doug Armitage.

She is survived by Harriett (Harry) Brown, Jim (Betty) Brown, her children, David (Ruby), Greg (Jamie), Michael (Sherri), Jami (Kevin) Flack, two nieces, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Service is to be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at First Congregational Church, 506 S Fifth St, Laurel.

The family requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
