St. Jude's lists student of month

St. Jude Thaddeus School Student of the Month for January 2019 is fifth-grader Amelia Cook.

Kristen Takeuchi, her fifth-grade teacher writes that "Amelia is an amazing girl. She always comes to school with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She pays attention and participates in all academic activities, even if she finds them challenging. Amelia steps up to help in classroom, whether it be helping clean up or helping her classmates with school work. Amelia is a very kind person and always shows respect for her classmates. She does not want anyone to feel sad or left-out, so she always tries to include her classmates in activities and tries to make them smile."

Outside of the classroom, Amelia is a very energetic young lady, competing in soccer and softball, and playing the piano. Her favorite activity is basketball and she played on the St. Jude Thaddeus Jr. High team this past season. Amelia is a shining example of a student working to reach her full potential intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.
