In the first girls loser-out game of the tournament, the T-Birds walloped Big Sandy 57-33, as HLP used a 20-8 run in the fourth quarter to put the Pioneers away.

HLP (6-14) got a balanced attack, led by Latasha Kirkaldie's 13 points, while Jaedyn Chandler added 11, including three 3-pointers, and Mulleah Stiffarm chipped in with 10. Big Sandy (2-18), which was eliminated with the loss, got an outstanding, game-high 20 points from Jaylyn Cline, while Amanda Cline chipped in with six.

In the second loser-out game of the morning, it was Chinook which moved on. Facing arch rival Chester-Joplin-Inverness, the Beeters went on a 14-3 run in the second quarter to take a 25-10 lead at halftime. CJI rallied with a 14-11 binge in the third quarter, but Chinook finished the game on a 10-1 run win, 50-31.

Kourtney Hanson paced Chinook with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Lincy Johnson added 11 and Rachel Gunderson scored nine. CJI (2-18), which was eliminated with the loss, got nine points from Tatum Hull and seven from Emma Wickum.
