Havre Police Department

A two-car crash was reported at Ninth Street and Second Avenue Wednesday at 7:54 a.m.

A three-vehicle crash involving two cars and a semitractor-trailer was reported on SUB Drive at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday.

--

Seth Daniel Swick of Havre, 19, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant, during a vehicle stop on 10th Street Wednesday at 1:25 p.m.

--

Wednesday at 2:34 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury crash was reported at Ridge Road and Beaver Creek Boulevard.

Someone stopped at the police station Wednesday at 2:46 p.m. to speak with an officer about a possible fraud.

Louis Joseph Morsette Jr. of Havre, 19, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and charges of trespass to property, trespass to vehicles, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and minor in possession, after a caller on Third Street reported Wednesday at 8:27 p.m. that an unknown man had jumped into her car.

Walter Edward Sivertsen of Havre, 41, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault with reasonable apprehension of injury, after a caller on Wilson Avenue reported a domestic disturbance at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers were called at 4:11 a.m. today to assist Hill County Sheriff's Office on a call about a man lying on the shoulder of the road west of the intersection at U.S. highways 2 and 87.

Someone stopped at the police station at 4:20 a.m. today to report a water main leak in the city hall parking lot.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Kate Alanna Lambourne of Havre, 20, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday.

Dominic Daniel Rivera of Havre, 21, was issued a summons on a charge of careless driving after a caller on Fourth Street West asked Wednesday at 4:53 p.m. to speak to a deputy about a neighbor's driving.

A caller on South Washington Avenue reported Wednesday at 5:18 p.m. a small flatbed trailer that didn't have a license plate was dumped along the road.

--

At 3:55 a.m. today a caller on U.S. Highway 2 reported a man lying on the shoulder of the road west of the turnoff to U.S. Highway 87.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke at an apartment on the 600 Block of Ninth Avenue Wednesday at 2:50 p.m. A smoldering hot spot was found in a wall in a crawl space where a heat gun had been used to thaw water pipes earlier in the day. Not much area was charred, but a section floor had to be cut out to gain access to the area to ensure all the hot spots were found and extinguished, Assistant Fire Chief Kelly Jones said, and the two-man crew was on site four hours.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats, two long-hair 7-month-old kittens, one long-hair 9-month-old kitten and a medium-hair 6-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, one medium-hair female cat, four medium-hair male cats, one long-hair male cat and one short-hair male cat.

The Havre shelter also held this morning a female mixed-breed dog, a male mixed-breed 21-week-old puppy, female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male golden retriever dog, a male border collie dog, a male mixed-breed 12-week-old puppy, two male pit bull terrier dogs and a male mixed-breed 24-week-old puppy.
