Bears edge Outlaws for a repeat state title

GREAT FALLS - The Box Elder Bears may not have finished with a perfect season. But after knocking off upstart Roy-Winifred Saturday night in Great Falls at the Four Seasons Arena, the Bears capped their season with a perfect ending - winning their second straight Class C state championship.

While it wasn't always pretty and at times, the Bears had to overcome some adversity, when the clock struck zero in the Class C girls state championship game, Box Elder came away with the 48-42 win over Roy-Winifred and some history as the first team in school history to win back-to-back championships....
