Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Kyndall Keller, HHS Girls Basketball

The Havre High girls basketball team was nothing short of spectacular last weekend at the Class A state tournament in Great Falls. And so was Blue Pony junior Kyndall Keller, who scored 17 points in Havre’s state championship game win over Hardin. Keller, who also scored 19 points in Havre’s semifinal win over Laurel, hit two huge 3-pointers in the second half against the Bulldogs, and made several key free throws to close out HHS second straight state championship. Keller is soon to be a three-time Class A All-State selection.

Frankie Bacon, Rocky Boy Boys Basketball

The Rocky Boy Stars had an incredible postseason run, culminating with an outstanding fourth-place finish at last weekend’s Class B state tournament in Belgrade. And Frankie Bacon was a big reason why the Stars were so successful. In wins over Shelby and Poplar, Rocky Boy’s two Northern B rivals, Bacon scored 17 and 22 points, respectively, and those two victories propelled the Stars to the consolation game, where they lost to a tough team from Big Timber. Still, Bacon and the Stars had a remarkable season.
