Conservation working group identifies natural resources concerns

A conservation local working group focused on two main issues during a meeting in Havre Wednesday, dealing with saline seep in Hill County and declining acreage in the Conservation Reserve Program.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Hill County Conservation District held the working group meeting in the USDA Service Center on Second Street West.

NRCS Biologist Josh Schrecengost spoke to local producers and officials during the meeting about conservation plans for Hill County.
