Northern rodeo teams return for the spring season

The Montana State University-Northern rodeo team is set to start the spring portion of its 2018-19 Big Sky Region Rodeo season.

The Lights and Skylights of head coach Doug Kallenberger, open the season at this weekend's Montana State University Rodeo in Bozeman. The rodeo runs tonight through Sunday at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on MSU's campus.

The Northern men's team is made up this season of Shane Bird Rattler (saddle bronc), Clay Doney (team roping), Tyler Doney (team roping), Tucker Hould (team roping), Tucker Johnson (bull riding), Kolby Kittson (saddle bronc), George Marcenko (roping), Zane Marcenko (roping, steer wrestling), Micha Miranda (roping) and Liam Marshall (bareback riding).

The MSU-N women's team consists of Mikayla Connelly (barrels), Tiana Gomes (barrels, breakaway), Jayne Keeley (barrels, goats), Brenna Krueger (barrels, breakaway, team roping), Rybecca Panchuk (breakaway, team roping), Calonna Slade (barrels, team roping) and Kassidy Williamson (barrels, breakaway, goats and team roping).

The 2019 Big Sky spring season also includes the Miles Community College Rodeo April 19-20 in Miles City, the University of Montana Rodeo April 26-27 in Missoula and the University of Providence Rodeo May 3-4 in Great Falls.
