Obituary - Helen Henry-Wells, "Sweet Grass Woman"

Helen Henry-Wells, "Sweet Grass Woman," passed away on April 20, 2019 from natural causes. Wake services began at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder. Rosary services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, and Helen's funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre.

The family would like to invite family and friends to share a meal at St. Anthony's Church following the burial.

She was born on March 9, 1952 to Aloysius Henry and Katherine Salois. She was raised in Box Elder and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1970. She lived in Montana her entire life with homes in Box Elder, Havre, Great Falls and Missoula.

Helen was a warm-hearted person and she was loved by all who knew her. Her home was a place where all were welcomed. When family and friends would gather for any reason it was always at her home. She was the glue that held us together. She worked various jobs including Havre Laundry, First National Laundry in Great Falls, Northern Winz Casino and Consumer Direct. Her first job was always taking care of her family.

Her hobbies included gambling, playing bingo, traveling, shopping, collecting frogs and, of course, spending time with family.

Helen is survived by her children, Joseph Henry, Melissa Doney, and Saghe and Dane Wells; siblings Leoda (Ken) Oliver, Frank Champagne, Linda Henry, Daniel Henry, and Rhonda McQuestion; grandchildren, Antonio Tigart, Callie Doney, Shane Doney, Patricia "P.J." Morsette, Robert Henry Jr., Sierra Henry, and Courtney Burdeau.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alyosius Henry and Katherine (Salois) Whalen; husband, Duane Wells; son Robert "Bobby" Henry-Bauer; sister Patricia Henry; and brothers Marvin "Steve" Henry, Bob Champagne, and Alvin "Les" Champagne.
